Is This Helping or Harming Me?

A simple check-in tool to guide choices in recovery, helping you pause, reflect, and respond with self-compassion.

Ask Yourself…

1. Does this support my recovery or put it at risk?

2. How does this make me feel? (Calm or anxious? Strong or drained?)

3. Am I choosing this from self-respect or fear, guilt, or habit?

- I am compromising my boundaries or values

- It pulls me towards old habits, people, or places

- I feel small, powerless, or ignored

- I regret it or question it afterward

Write it out…

When deciding if it’s helping or harming, write these prompts to help you decide
